The claim process, step by step

Step 1: Call a professional who can identify storm damage
Patriot can do a free inspection to find any damage, and temporarily repair or tarp damaged areas to prevent more. If there is no damage, we won't recommend any work at that time.

Step 2: Contact your homeowners insurance
Have your policy number and the date of the storm ready. You'll get a claim number and a date for the adjuster to inspect your roof. Patriot can help you file the claim and meet the adjuster on site to help locate damage.

Step 3: Review the claim paperwork
The insurer sends a breakdown of what is covered, the estimated cost, the total claim and your deductible. It helps to have a professional go through it with you to make sure all damaged items are covered, including upgrades the building code requires.

Step 4: Submit the final invoice
Send your final invoice to the insurance company and pay your roofing contractor.
